第一次接觸托福聽力天文學的小伙伴可能對nebula的概念有點陌生，那我們先來掃盲一下。Nebula(星云) is an interstellar(星際的) cloud of dust, hydrogen(氫), helium(氦) and other ionized gases(電離氣體)。

現在我們就來看看托福聽力真考里考察過的內容吧~

第一大類：Diffuse nebulae(不規則星云)，它們的特點是extended, no well-defined boundaries。Diffuse nebulae有三小類：

① emission nebula(發射星云)：特點是能夠 emit light of various colors。例如：Omega Nebula：

② reflection nebulae(反射星云)：特點是 might reflect the light of a nearby star or stars。例如：The Witch Head reflection nebula：

③dark nebulae(暗星云)：特點是 so dense that it obscures the light from objects behind it, such as background stars and emission or reflection nebulae。例如： Dark nebula LDN 1768：

第二大類：Planetary nebulae(行星狀星云)，之所以叫這個名字是因為第一個觀察者把它們和行星混淆了。例如：Lemon slice nebula(看起來真的很像檸檬片哈)和 Butterfly Nebula：

第三大類：Supernova remnants(超新星殘骸)，它是一顆將死之星的最終歸宿。例如：Crab Nebula：

當然最后不能忘記Eagle Nebula，Pillars of Creation(創世之柱)就是其中一部分。
