托福口語是很多托福考生最為頭疼的一部分,因為準備時間段,答題的時候經常大腦空白什么都講不出來。其實很多同學在托福口語備考的過程中都針對許多話題背了不同的語料,但是因為背了太多容易弄混,總是無法應用。其實語料的靈活運用要比只積累量更有用。
一.實例講解如何靈活運用語料
我們先瀏覽一下這三道真題:
例 1: Agree or disagree: Parents should use money as incentive for kids to behave well in school? (2016-5-29)
例 2: What should parents do to help their children develop money management skills? (2016)
例3: What do you think is the most important thing that parents should teach their children? Explain your idea with specific reasons and details. (2016-4-23)
這三道題都是比較常見的“育兒話題”,但是把它們放在一起,可以產生非常奇妙的“化學反應”。例1中的Parents should use money as incentive for kids to behave well in school稍加改寫,馬上就可以作為例2 What should parents do to help their children develop money management skills? 的一條答案。而例2的 “money management skills” 轉過身又可以回答例3中的 “the most important thing that parents should teach their children”
二.發散思維運用語料
利用話題的共通之處。以人物類關系為例,我們在口語題中常見的三種人物關系,包括
1. 家長-孩子;
2. 教師-學生;
3. 老板-員工。
這三種人物關系有何共通之處呢?很明顯,就是他們都是某種意義上的“上下級關系”。如此一來,適用于上下級關系的語料, 就可以盡情套用啦。其中 to be motivated 是一個非常好的切入點。如上文 例1,可以使用以下邏輯鏈:(if money is used as incentive) children will be motivated – work harder at school – better performance and higher grades;
除此之外,另一道關于“老板-員工”的真題也可以套用這個思路:
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: boss should maintain close friendship with employees (20161015).
完全照搬邏輯鏈:(if boss became close friends with employees) they will be largely motivated – feel trusted – work harder, more dedicated to their jobs – good for the company.
